Installation: ceramic, paper, printed fabric, moss, wood, fossil

I created two installation work series at my first solo exhibition in the fall of 2021.

The second series is in a desert, with natural materials co-presenting my ceramic sculptures. I want to discuss the tensions between anti-immigration sentiments and the process of unstoppable globalization.

My story sets in a desert and closed community.

You can view it as the entrance point to more massive land. Or you can view it as the security gate to stop outcomes from entering their "Milk and Honey land."

My sculptures are landscapes and portraits, with natural colour found objects, and printed fabric, to bring up the tension of the culture mixture.

These are complex and interconnected issues that require thoughtful, comprehensive approaches. It's a difficult balance to strike, but necessary for a world that is becoming ever more interconnected.
